LaCie Ethernet Disk
& ED-mini NAS RAID units can include
4 bay 4TB network attached storage unit
equipped with hot-swappable SATA disks.
La Cie have up to 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports,
and extra USB connectors to attach further
drives. They support RAID-0, RAID-1, RAID-10
and Raid-5 + spare. They can also act as
LAN DHCP servers providing auto IP address
allocation and ftp server.
On the 2big disks indications
of the error / faulty state of the Lacie
are by blinking / flashing of the front
LED, or rear drive LED's - blinks red and
blue, or the drive LEDs on the back are
off:
Lacie Ethernet Disks
and Ed-min can crash on power cut / failure
/ unexpected shut-down. The Raid is lost
or broken and Shared folders are lost. The
system displays Orange Flashing/Blinking
Disks Status Error Light, and a continuos
orange system status LED light. From the
web management control console Disk Change
Notification One or more hard disks in the
storage system have failed screen may appear.
The disks may be shown as New Disk rather
than RAID 5. User data not accessible. However
we can recover your data files.

ALLNET ALL-6400 RAID 5 lost raid data recovery - Cancer Research, Liverpool

ALLNET ALL-6400 RAID 5 with x 400 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 drives (Rebadged Thecus 4100). Fan failed causing it to overheat which triggered raid failure. Replaced fan unit okay. Raid 5 needs recovering as it was not showing although we can log in. Thanks for all your help with this (recovery). All the best
iSCSI Terastation Data Recovery of VMFS - Equinox Technologies

iSCSI Buffalo Terastation Rack Mounted TS-RI4.0TGL/RR-EU serial 4584308490031. RAID 5 2x LUN's with NTFS and VMFS partitions. Drive 3 had an error, the unit tried to rebuild but got in a loop of rebuild. Buffalo support said take the drive out, format it and put it back in to see if it would rebuild. Unfortunatly it then thought the drive was ok but showed an error on the Raid and wouldn’t offer a rebuild option.Just to say a big THANK YOU for all your help in getting the data back for me. I have (just!) now got all the VM’s transferred back over and up and running.
Failed hard drives in Raid 5 on Iomega Nas P435m - London. EC1M

Iomega Nas P435m 320GB Network Storage that freezes when booting up.we removed the 4 raid 5 drives and fitted them into a pc to see the raid status and the drives all say failed. Raid 5 consisted of 4 x 80gb Hitachi hdd. Thanks for having recovered my files.
