Lacie Raid Data Recovery
LaCie Ethernet Disk and ED-mini NAS RAID units can include 4
bay 4TB network attached storage unit equipped with hot-swappable SATA
disks. La Cie have up to 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports, and extra USB
connectors to attach further drives. They support RAID-0, RAID-1,
RAID-10 and Raid-5 + spare. They can also act as LAN DHCP servers
providing auto IP address allocation and ftp server.
On the 2big disks indications of the error / faulty state of the Lacie
are by blinking / flashing of the front LED, or rear drive LED's -
blinks red and blue, or the drive LEDs on the back are off:
Lacie Ethernet Disks and Ed-min can crash on power cut / failure /
unexpected shut-down. The Raid is lost or broken and Shared folders are
lost. The system displays Orange Flashing/Blinking Disks Status Error
Light, and a continuos orange system status LED light.
Disk Change Notification
From the web management control console Disk Change Notification One or more hard disks in the storage system have failed screen may appear. The disks may be shown as New Disk rather than RAID 5. User data not accessible. However we can recover your data files.

Lacie 2 Big Disk with burning smell data recoveryLacie 2 Big Disk, We received a Lacie 2 Big Disk with burning smell from it. It had been formatted on an Apple Mac to create a raid array. The customer had tried their in house IT department but after a week they gave up and came to us. Lacie Ethernet Disk Recovery from corrupt RaidINNS04-4200 Recovery, Lacie Ethernet Disk can be configured in various ways eg. 3 x Raid5 + spare hdd, Mirror and pure Raid 5. One customer had the following faults. Firstly Lan clients could only read data on NAS, but then after re-starting the system they could not access it with Web browser or the console software. The Raid definition appeared to be corrupt but all Hard Disk unit LEDs were green.
