SoftCo PCDOC Migration, Extract Files from PC-Doc EDMS Document Management System

SoftCo produced PC-DOC EDMS or Electronic Document Management System back in 1990's and it uses a database back end for file metadata along with MOD's (Magneto Optical Disks or MO Disk) for actual file storage. The files may be scanned documents or actual files like Word Excel, PDFs etc. The PCDOC file index data may also have been stored in MS-Access or SQL database. The MO disks cannot be understood by a regular PC or Mac computer however we have devised a system to extract the files along with file name, date and unique serial numbers to enable tying up with say a small access database which contained the actual file names against the file number allowing them to be placed on a Windows Hard Disk or Network Storage Device (NAS), or simply transferred files to CD or DVD. The end result was the owner regained possession and control of their legacy data. The system goes under several aliases PCDOCSE PCDOCSG etc. Sometimes the system was used to store scanned images of documents when used in conjunction with a scanner.

Corel Panasonic LF LM Optical Disk WORM File System and Scanned Document recovery

We have a system to recover files and documents from Corel WORM and Panasonic LF Optical disks (Write Once Read Many). These optical disk cartridges have model numbers such as P940C P1400C P1002E P1500E LM-R1500A LM-D500W LM-D501W LM-D702W LM-R1400A LM-W1400A. and sizes inc 940MB 1.4GB 1GB 1.5GB. They usually use a very rare file system with signatures such as IBM CRL2, Corel/ckp for PC DOS FAT and Apple Mac HFS computer systems. The discs are similar to other 5.25 inch Magneto Optical disks except they have 3 notches or holes down the right side. Sometimes the disks are used in conjunction with Corel Scanner system which saves the files as .IMG. We have devised system to read the .IMG files and recover the files to be readily viewable in Windows or other systems

Microsoft FILE Database Apple Mac and Windows PC conversion

Microsoft FILE was a flat file database system often found on old Apple Macs running System 7. It was a precursor to FileMaker Pro. A common request is to extract the legacy data out of this format on to something a more modern mac computer or windows pc could open such as text file, excel or csv. EFS Extent File System Data Recovery

The EFS or Extent File System was introduced by Sgi Irix and was their main file system before XFS. We have recovered files when the system has become corrupt and appears to have lost many of the files that were on the disk. This seems to be particularly a problem on some MO, MOD, Magneto-Optical disks used in Marconi and Philips CT Cat Scan machines which recorded DICOM images to these MO disks. DICOM is a popular format for medical images which are often archived to MO disks or tapes. We have extracted DICOM medical images from disks and tapes even when the discs appear to be blank.

HPP & HPD files Converter for HP Laserjet Scanner files Open Viewer

We can open and convert the .HPP and .HPD files so you can open them on a modern Windows PC or Apple Mac and access the data for editing. Thousands of documents or scanned images are locked away in this proprietary HP format which only existed for around 1995 to 2001. Hewlett Packard introduced HPP Image Files and HPD Laserjet Document Files for storing scanned documents and photographs. The files allowed editing in the HP Document Manager. The most popular versions of this product are: 1.0, 1.2 and 2.0. Some people have tried to use the HotDocs player for opening the HPP files, but, to our knowledge without success.

At first, I thought that hpd. Files should be easy to open, and that the computers have been updated over the time with new software, so when attempt to open them the errors happen within the registry; which means that windows forgets how to open them. I have tried to download the HotDocs 2009 player to see if I can open the files,and also I downloaded the FileCure from Paretologic but it was unsuccessful.

.CLD CLUE Database file converter / viewer to Text

We have converted .CLD CLUE database files which contained symbols from an old keyboard that were not compatible with modern day machines like Apple Mac or Windows XP. The files were converted to plain text so that the content may be viewed and edited and used for future publications and printing. The CLUE Database files have .CLD extension.

Converting Music Sampler Files to Wav(e) Audio

Many audio enthusiasts recorded their music sample files to CD, MO (Magneto Optical Disks MOD) or floppy disks during the 80's and 90's. Popular disks were from Akai, Emu, Roland, and Kurzweil samplers. Nowadays many want to use these sample files on their Mac or Windows Computers and we have successfully extracted the music wave files to Mac or Windows CDs.

Merging or Combining two files to single good working copy of the file

Sometimes you are fortunate enough to have two copies of the same file / data stored on different media disks eg. floppy, CD, hard drives, tapes, or from two different sources. They each have errors or bad sectors. We can copy the good sectors from the files and merge them into one single file so that 1 good file is produced from the 2 bad files.

QIC Tape Cartridge Data Recovery - Forgotten Password Data Recovery, We can now recover from the QIC-80 tape cartridge such as 3M DC-2120 Verbatim, Sony QD-2120 or Dysan DY-2120 with lost forgotten passwords or drive belt snapped.
